What do I need in my Portrait unit?
- An overview of portrait photography and what it is. Use good quality photographs your images must not be pixelated!
- How to take a good portrait photograph - refer to the portrait powerpoint if you need help, coinsider pose, composition, depth of field etc
- Photographer research - research at least 2 portrait photographers load 6-8 images of their work Use good quality photographs your images must not be pixelated and select one to analyse in depth, produce a brief bio on the photographer provide your personal opinion on their work.
- Work in the style of the photographer - show you have understood how they work by taking their inspiration and using it in your photography shoot.
- Compare your work to the photographers - you could place your images side by side and write a comparison
- For each shoot you do select your worst image and your best image and state why - use technical language to identify Strengths and EBis of the images
- You require at least 4 shoots that show clear improvement from shoot to shoot
- Show all your editing skills, state what techniques you have used and why it has improved your photographs
- Finish with a collection of your most successful images and an evaluation of the unit
